How to bake Butter Cookies!

Have had a lot of requests for my recipe from friends for this, so here it is:

Equipment list:
- Kitchen scale
- Teaspoon
- Sieve
- Electric Mixer
- Rolling Pin
- Cookie Cutter
- Baking Tray
- Oven (my mum got a Rowenta oven, and it's great for baking!)
- Baking Paper (optional)

Ingredients:
- 275g Plain Flour (I normally used Bake King Plain All-Purpose Flour)
- 200g Unsalted Butter (I use FairPrice Creamy Butter. There's salt in there, but I find this butter the best)
- Extra Butter for greasing if you do not have baking paper
- 100g Icing Sugar (I use SIS Icing Sugar)
- 2 Egg Yolks (Seng Choon eggs are the best. No matter whether it's farm fresh or golden corn)
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Essence (I used Bake King's Vanilla Essence)

Steps:

1. Dice butter into smaller blocks

2. Sieve flour into the bowl of the electric mixer

3. Add diced butter to the flour

4. Using the electric mixer, mix at medium speed until mixture resembles bread crumbs

5. Add the remaining ingredients (Egg Yolk, Vanilla Essence, Icing Sugar) into the bowl

6. Using the electric mixer, mix at medium speed until the mixture is homogeneous and smooth

7. Line baking tray with baking paper, or grease with butter

8. Preheat oven to 200oC

9. Roll the dough on a clean table top (or on a plastic sheet) and cut out shapes using cookie cutter

10. Place shaped cookie dough on the baking tray

11. Bake for 8 mins at 200oC

12. Leave to cool for about 30mins to an hour before keeping!

And you're done!!!

Cheers. :)
